New on 500px : As Close As I Dare Get by TheNarratographer by TheNarratographer

Today I got to work with Louisa once more, but only for an hour or two. I have been really happy with the images I have taken of her before, but this time I wanted to do something a little different. Different, that is, with regards to angle and composition. It is all very well to frame someone from head to toe, or to include a little of the background to add a bit of context. But these images can often end up becoming a little predictable and the viewer doesn’t quite feel as involved as they maybe would. However, step a little closer to the model and frame her more tightly, and a whole new world opens up. The viewer begins to feel, the image begins to have a taste to it, as if the person in the photograph is actually right before you. You feel that you could almost reach out a finger and touch whatever it is in the photograph and this can sometimes lead to an image that is more powerful and intimate. So that is what I decided to do, to get closer to the image so that the viewer is hopefully drawn further into it and starts to become part of the photograph………….
